  EXILE (ALIANO) 30 x 35 cms approx.
  Aliano is a village in Basilicata to which Carlo Levi the painter and activist was exiled by Mussolini in the mid 1930s. The piece of blue-green wood was found opposite the entrance to the house where he spent much of his exile. The reddish wood is from Puglia. The glue is from B and Q.
